Teenage Muay Thai phenom Yodcherry Sityodtong to make ONE Super Series debut at ‘ONE: Battle for the Heavens’ in Guangzhou, China

Representing Evolve MMA in Singapore and fighting out of Thailand, Muay Thai phenom Yodcherry Sityodtong, 19, makes her long awaited ONE Championship debut when she competes for the inaugural ONE Super Series Kickboxing Atomweight World Championship on July 7, 2018. She and her Taiwanese opponent Kai Ting “Killer Bee” Chuang, 23, will headline “ONE: Battle for the Heavens” at the Guangzhou Tianhe Gymnasium in Guangzhou, China.

“World-class martial arts makes a triumphant return to the beautiful city of Guangzhou with another spectacular event,” ONE Championship chairman and CEO Chatri Sityodtong stated. He described the main event of “ONE: Battle for the Heavens” featuring Yodcherry and Chuang as “a titanic clash between superstar strikers.”

“The two will be joined by several of the very best martial arts talent from China and the world,” the ONE Championship chairman and CEO continued. “So don’t miss this awesome evening of authentic martial arts action.”

Yodcherry owns an impressive professional Muay Thai record of 81 wins, 18 losses and 1 draw. At such a young age, she has already garnered many achievements in the ring, having won various Muay Thai World Championships throughout her young career.

ONE Championship has announced the complete card for “ONE: Battle for the Heavens.” Including the ONE Super Series Kickboxing Atomweight World Championship bout between Yodcherry and Chuang, the card has 10 matches.

Among the 10 “ONE: Battle for the Heavens” fights, seven are mixed martial arts bouts. The remaining three are the striking-only bouts on the ONE Super Series card.

The first ONE Super Series bout of the evening is a Muay Thai contest between Saemapetch Fairtex, 23, of Thailand and Deividas “The Savage Sitsongpeenong” Danyla, 26, of Lithuania in the bantamweight division. The second striking-only match is kickboxing contest between Andre “The Giant” Meunier, 42, of Melbourne, Victoria, Australia and Ibrahim “Mr. Cool” El Bouni, 25, of Amsterdam, Netherlands  at a catch weight of 105kg.
