Fighting out of Thailand, Saemapetch Fairtex, 23, is set to compete in ONE Championship for the first time. In his promotional debut, he will compete at “ONE Battle for the Heavens,” the promotion’s second event to take place in China in 2018.
The Thai martial artist’s opponent at “ONE Battle for the Heavens” is Deividas “The Savage Sitsongpeenong” Danyla, 26, of Lithuania. On July 7, 2018, they will compete at the Guangzhou Tianhe Gymnasium in Guangzhou, China in a Muay Thai contest in the bantamweight division.
Currently, Saemapetch has a professional record of 116 wins, 14 losses and 1 draw. His Lithuanian opponent has 46 wins and 10 losses.
Saemapetch first stepped into the ring at the age of 11. Three years later, he was already competing in the famed Rajadamnern Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand.
When Saemapetch was just 17 years old, he won the prestigious Tiger Cement Tournament at Channel 7 Stadium. In April 2018, he added the MTGP Welterweight World Title to his resume.
Now, Saemapetch trains out of the renowned Fairtex camp in Pattaya, Thailand. Another rising star from a well-regarded camp, he looks to make his mark on the world in ONE Super Series.
“ONE: Battle for the Heavens” will be headlined by Yodcherry Sityodtong, 19, of Thailand and Kai Ting “Killer Bee” Chuang, 23, of Chinese Taipei. The winner will be the very first ONE Super Series Kickboxing Atomweight World Champion.
“World-class martial arts makes a triumphant return to the beautiful city of Guangzhou with another spectacular event,” ONE Championship chairman and CEO Chatri Sityodtong stated. He added that Yodcherry and Chuang will be joined by “several of the very best martial arts talent from China and the world.”
