Fighting out of Amsterdam, Netherlands, Ibrahim “Mr. Cool” El Bouni, 25, has made a successful ONE Championship debut. In his first assignment, the Moroccan-Dutch kickboxer competed in the promotion’s striking-only league ONE Super Series at “ONE: Battle for the Heavens,” which took place at the Guangzhou Tianhe Gymnasium in Guangzhou, China on July 7, 2018.

“ONE: Battle for the Heavens” featured seven MMA matches and three striking-only bouts under ONE Super Series. In the eighth bout of the evening, El Bouni competed against Andre “The Giant” Meunier, 42, of Melbourne, Victoria, Australia.

With Atsushi Onari as the referee, El Bouni and Meunier battled it out in a kickboxing contest at a catchweight of 105kg at “ONE: Battle for the Heavens.” The referee put a stop to the contest at 1:31 of Round 1 when the Moroccan-Dutch kickboxer knocked out his Australian opponent.

In the co-main event of the evening, Reece “Lightning” McLaren, 26, of Toowoomba, Queensland, Australia competed against Tatsumitsu “The Sweeper” Wada, 29, of Kofu, Yamanashi, Japan in the flyweight division.

In the main event, Yodcherry Sityodtong, 19, of Thailand and Kai Ting “Killer Bee” Chuang, 23, of Taiwan competed for the inaugural ONE Super Series Kickboxing Atomweight World Championship.
