Fighting out of Seoul, South Korea, “Crazy Dog” Park Dae Sung, 25, will compete at “ONE: Pursuit of Power” on July 13, 2018 at the Axiata Arena in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. He will battle it out with Trestle “Jun Minion” Tan, 32, of Manila, Philippines in a catch weight of 80kg.
This is technically the second time Park is competing in ONE Championship although it will be his first bout in an official event of the promotion. On March 31, 2018, the South Korean mixed martial artist competed in the first season of the promotion’s show “Rich Franklin’s ONE Warrior Series,” where he knocked out Kimihiro Eto, 29, of Japan.
Park’s professional MMA debut in 2013 was not a successful one as he was knocked out by Yusaku Inoue at “Shooto: 2nd Round 2013.” In the same year, Park returned to the cage and defeated Chang Hun Song at “Road FC: Into League” and faced Matt Te Paa at “PRO FC 8” in a bout that ended in a No Contest.
In 2014, Park defeated Ho Taek Oh at Road FC: Korea 1” and Tae Woo Yoo at “Road FC: Korea 3- Korea vs Brazil.” Park went on hiatus in 2015 but he returned in 2016 to defeat Kyung Pyo Kim at “Road FC 35.”
Before competing in “ONE Warrior Series” Season 1, Park incurred one win and one loss. In 2017, he defeated Rodrigo Caporal a “Road FC 36” but lost to Kota Shimoishi at “Road FC 40.”
Now, Park holds a professional MMA record of 7 wins, 2 losses and 1 No Contest. On the other hand, Tan has 4 wins, 6 losses and 1 No Contest.
Including the catchweight bout between Park and Tan, “ONE: Pursuit of Power” will feature 11 bouts. In the main event, Agilan “Alligator” Thani, 22, of Malaysia will compete against Zebaztian “The Bandit” Kadestam, 27, of Sweden in the welterweight division.
