Korea’s Park Dae Sung earns 2nd ONE Championship win at ‘ONE: Pursuit of Power’ in Malaysia

Fighting out of Seoul, South Korea, “Crazy Dog” Park Dae Sung, 25, has earned his second victory in ONE Championship. On July 13, 2018, the Korean mixed martial artist defeated his Filipino opponent at “ONE: Pursuit of Power” at the Axiata Arena in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

“ONE: Pursuit of Power” is the second ONE Championship event to take place in Malaysia in 2018. On the card are 1 kickboxing bout and 2 Muay Thai contests under ONE Super Series and 8 MMA matches.

The first bout of the evening was an MMA match between Park and Trestle “Jun Minion” Tan, 32, in a catch weight of 80kg. The latter is fighting out of Cebu City, Philippines.

After three five-minute rounds, the catchweight bout between Park and Tan was left in the hands of the judges. In the end, the referee raised the Korean contender’s hand as the winner via unanimous decision.

By defeating Tan at “ONE: Pursuit of Power,” Park improved his professional MMA record to 8 wins, 2 losses and 1 No Contest. On the other hand, Tan’s record downgraded to 4 wins, 7 losses and 1 No Contest.

The main event of “ONE: Pursuit of Power” was a welterweight bout between Thani and Zebaztian “The Bandit” Kadestam, 27, of Sweden. The Swedish contender knocked out the hometown hero in the third round.

The co-main event was a ONE Super Series Muay Thai featherweight contest between “Smokin” Jo Nattawut, 28, of Thailand and Yohann Fairtex Drai, 26, of France. The Thai contender knocked out his French opponent in the first round.
