The largest global sports media property in Asian history, ONE Championship™ (ONE), held a kick-off press conference on July 9, 2018 at the W Hotel in Bangkok, Thailand. During the event, the promotion formally announced its next event in the country titled “ONE: Kingdom of Heroes.”

Set to take place at the Impact Arena in Bangkok on October 6, 2018, “ONE: Kingdom of Heroes” will mark the first boxing bout in ONE Championship. Among the special guests during the press conference for the event was Rajadamnern Stadium promoter Nuttadaj Vachirarattanawong, 30.

“I appreciate ONE Championship’s efforts in exposing and elevating Muay Thai on a global scale,” Vachirarattanawong stated. “It is an honor and a privilege to be in partnership with this great martial arts promotion that has been followed by billions of fans around the world.”

After years of domination as a mixed martial arts promotion, ONE Championship released a new striking-only league called ONE Super Series. In the promotion’s recent events, MMA bouts are mixed with kickboxing and Muay Thai contests on the same card and for the first time, boxing will be included at “ONE: Kingdom of Heroes.”

In 2013, Vachirarattanawong became the youngest promoter in Muay Thai history at the age of 25. Now, he is also the Petchyindee Academy managing director.

It was not the first time Vachirarattanawong attended a ONE Championship event as he was also a special guest at “ONE: Kingdom of Champions” press conference in Bangkok on May 6, 2016. During the “ONE: Kingdom of Heroes” press conference, the Rajadamnern Stadium promoter said, “It is with expectancy that I look forward to the event on October 6th.”

The first boxing bout in ONE Championship will be the main event of “ONE: Kingdom of Heroes.” It will be between reigning World Boxing Council Super Flyweight World Champion Srisaket Sor Rungvisai, 31, and his challenger who is yet to be announced.

Srisaket attended the “ONE: Kingdom of Heroes” press conference with his promoter, Nakornloung Promotion promoter Thainchai Pisitwuttinan, 29. Also present during the event were Thai ONE Championship athletes Yodsanklai IWE Fairtex, 33, Nong-O Gaiyanghadao, 32, Shannon “OneShin” Wiratchai, 29, Rika “Tiny Doll” Ishige, 29, and Petchmorrakot Wor. Sangprapai, 24.
