Nakornloung Promotion promoter Thainchai Pisitwuttinan, 29, was one of the special guests at the “ONE: Kingdom of Heroes” press conference at the W Hotel in Bangkok, Thailand on July 9, 2018. The partnership between ONE Championship and Nakornloung Promotion was announced during the event.
“I am glad that our promotion and ONE Championship have coalesced in having a common mission and vision for combat sports athletes around the globe,” Pisitwuttinan stated. “I just cannot begin to say how massive of an event this will be. History will be made on 6 October.”
Scheduled on October 6, 2018 at the Impact Arena in Bangkok, “ONE: Kingdom of Heroes” is ONE Championship’s next event in Thailand. The event will mark the first time the promotion is having a boxing bout mixed with mixed martial arts bouts and ONE Super Series striking-only contests.
The inaugural boxing bout in ONE Championship will be the main event of “ONE: Kingdom of Heroes.” It will feature the title defense of reigning World Boxing Council Super Flyweight World Champion Srisaket Sor Rungvisai, 31, who was also present during the press conference.
Pisitwuttinan is the current promoter of Sor Rungvisai. In 2013, the former became the youngest promoter in boxing at the age of 24.
ONE Championship chairman and CEO Chatri Sityodtong, 47, and Rajadamnern Stadium promoter Nuttadaj Vachirarattanawong, 30, also attended the “ONE: Kingdom of Heroes” press conference. Also present during the event were Thai ONE Championship athletes Yodsanklai IWE Fairtex, 33, Nong-O Gaiyanghadao, 32, Shannon “OneShin” Wiratchai, 29, Rika “Tiny Doll” Ishige, 29, and Petchmorrakot Wor. Sangprapai, 24.
Wiratchai and Ishige will compete in MMA matches at “ONE: Kingdom of Heroes.” Yodsanklai, Gaiyanghadao, Sor Rungvisai and Petchmorrakot will be featured in ONE Super Series.
