Representing Team Lakay of Baguio City, Philippines, Jeremy “The Juggernaut” Pacatiw, 22, has signed the contract to compete at “Brave 14,” which will take place at the Omnisports Indoor Club in Tangier, Morocco on August 18, 2018. This makes him the first Filipino mixed martial artist to compete at an event hosted by a global promotion in Africa.

“Brave 14” has materialized as an initiative under His Highness Sheikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa of Bahrain. The first global MMA event in Africa is also under the patronage of His Majesty King Mohammed VI of Morocco.

At “Brave 14,” Pacatiw will face Keith “Killa” Lee, 21, of Las Vegas, Nevada, United States. This will be the sixth bout of the Team Lakay fighter in Bahrain-based MMA promotion Brave Combat Federation.

“The bout will be highly competitive and will showcase two of the most promising talent with contrasting styles,” Brave CF president Mohammed Shahid stated. “Athletes from the Philippines have displayed heart, commitment and skills, which make them integral when Brave Combat Federation takes over the responsibility to bring the first ever global mixed martial arts event to the continent of Africa.”

“This is also an opportunity to give platform for athletes to showcase their skills around the world and to bring the martial arts community spread around the world closer,” Shahid added. The Brave CF president has also hinted a possible event of the promotion in the Philippines.

Out of the five Brave CF bouts Pacatiw had, he won three. The two opponents he defeated in the promotion are Chaitanya “Dangerous” Gavali, 29, of India and Thiago Diego Coleta, 21, of Brazil.

Pacatiw competes in the bantamweight division. The reigning Brave CF Bantamweight Champion is his fellow Team Lakay fighter Stephen “The Sniper” Loman, 23.

Currently, Pacatiw holds a professional MMA record of 6 wins and 3 losses. He is currently the Filipino fighter with the most number of appearances in Brave CF.

On the other hand, Lee has 3 wins and 2 losses. Born in Detroit, Michigan, he was an undefeated amateur MMA fighter before going professional.

Lee will make his Brave CF debut at “Brave 14.” He is the younger brother of UFC fighter Kevin “The Motown Phenom” Lee, 25.
