Shinya “Tobikan Judan” Aoki, 35, of Japan and Shannon “OneShin” Wiratchai, 29, of Thailand will compete in the lightweight division at “ONE: Reign of Kings” on July 27, 2018. Before the bout, the Japanese contender shared his assessment of his Thai opponent.
“Shannon Wiratchai is a good fighter,” Aoki shared. “He has very good striking skills but I have faced every kind of fighter in my career and I have seen everything there is to see inside the cage. When I step back in there, I expect to impose my will on my opponent and get the victory that I have trained very hard for.”
Taking place at the SM Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City, Metro Manila, Philippines, “ONE: Reign of Kings” will mark Aoki’s fifth ONE Championship bout. The Japanese contender said, “I live to compete.”
“It is my life’s passion,” Aoki shared. “Being able to test my skills against the very best in the world, it’s what I was born to do. I can see myself doing this until I am old.”
On July 24, 2018, Aoki and Wiratchai had their face-off at the “ONE: Reign of Kings” at the City of Dreams Manila in Paranaque City, Metro Manila, Philippines.
