ONE Championship’s first events in Japan, Vietnam, South Korea scheduled in 2019

ONE Championship has been dominating the mixed martial arts industry since 2011. For the first time, the promotion will hold events in Japan, Vietnam and South Korea in 2019.

On August 23, 2018, ONE Championship held a press conference in Japan for the first time. During the event, which took place at the Park Hyatt Hotel in Tokyo, ONE Championship chairman and CEO Chatri Sityodtong announced 24 of the 30 events of the promotion scheduled in 2019.

“I am thrilled to announce the first 24 of 30 events of our busy 2019 schedule at ONE Championship,” Sityodtong stated. “In addition to the first 24 live events planned for all sports fans in Asia, there will be at least 6 ONE Warrior Series events that will continue to showcase the absolute best in martial arts, delivered by our martial arts superheroes.”

There will be two ONE Championship events in Tokyo in 2019. The first one will take place at the Ryogoku Kokushikan in Ryogoku on March 31, 2019 and the second one will be on October 11, 2019.

The first ONE Championship event in Vietnam is scheduled on October 11, 2019. It will take place in Ho Chi Minh.

On December 20, 2019, a ONE Championship event will be held in South Korea for the first time. It will take place in its capital city Seoul.

In 2019, ONE Championship will also return to its strong roots in Myanmar, Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, Thailand, China and the Philippines, China. The promotion has one event in Myanmar in 2019, which will take place in Yangon on March 8, 2019.

ONE Championship will hold two events in Malaysia in 2019, which will take place in Kuala Lumpur on June 28, 2019 and on December 6, 2019. It will hold events in Singapore on February 22, 2019, on May 17, 2019 and on November 22, 2019, in Jakarta on January 19, 2019, on May 4, 2019 and on October 26, 2019 and in Bangkok on February 16, 2019, on May 11, 2019 and on August 17, 2019.

The promotion will have four events each in China and in the Philippines in 2019. These will take place in Beijing on June 7, 2019, in Macau on June 15, 2019, in Guangzhou on July 20, 2019 and in Shanghai on November 9, 2019 and in Manila on January 25, 2019, on April 5, 2019, on August 2, 2019 and on December 13, 2019.
