Reigning The Ring and World Boxing Council (WBC) Super Flyweight World Champion Srisaket Sor Rungvisai, 31, of Thailand is one of the top boxers in Asia today. He is scheduled to defend his WBC title from Iran “MagnifiKO” Diaz, 28, of Mexico in the main event of “ONE: Kingdom of Heroes,” which is the first ever boxing match in ONE Championship.

Sor Rungvisai and Diaz had their face-off during the official “ONE: Kingdom of Heroes” open workout at Nakornloung Promotion Gym in Bangkok, Thailand. During the event, the Thai boxing champ told the media, Iran Diaz is a worthy opponent.

“He is strong and determined,” Sor Rungvisai said of Diaz. “But I am confident in my skills and I will bring victory back home.”

“ONE: Kingdom of Heroes” will take place at the Impact Arena in Bangkok on October 6, 2018. For Sor Rungvisai, defending his title in front of his home crowd is very important and he is proud to showcase the Thai warrior spirit and prove to the world that they are among the very best.

The Thai boxing champ thanked ONE Championship for giving him the opportunity to headline “ONE: Kingdom of Heroes” and his supporters for all the support they have shown throughout his career. He said, “To be able to represent my country in this sport is a privilege and I will do everything in my power to make my people, my fans proud.”

Performing in Bangkok in front of all the Thai fans makes Sor Rungvisai feel invigorated. For him, it is a huge development in his career and he feels that ONE Championship can help him bring world-class boxing back home to Thailand.

“I am honored to be in this position and I know millions of fans will be watching, which is why I have to give my best performance,” Sor Rungvisai stated. “Right now I am in the best condition of my career and I am deep in training so that I can give a good performance on October 6. This is going to be a very exciting fight.”
