Reigning Brave Combat Federation Bantamweight Champion Stephen “The Sniper” Loman, 23, had his first successful title defense in Belfast, Northern Ireland on June 9, 2018. Recently, he returned to the United Kingdom for a personal visit and met His Excellency Antonio Lagdameo, the Ambassador of the Philippines to the U.K.

Lagdameo has been serving as the Ambassador of the Philippines to the U.K. since July 2009. He was born in Manila, Philippines and served as the chairman of the Philippine Racing Commission from 1994 to 1998.

Hailing from Baguio City, Philippines, Loman was the first Filipino mixed martial artist to defend a championship title in the U.K. He is also the youngest reigning champion of Brave CF.

Loman trains at Team Lakay under the tutelage of Mark Sangiao. The reigning Brave CF Bantamweight Champion’s title defense in the U.K. was a rematch with Frans “The Black Mamba” Mlambo, 27, of Dublin, Ireland.

The title bout took place at the SSE Arena in Belfast. On Loman’s corner was his Team Lakay teammate Honorio “The Rock” Banario, a former ONE Featherweight World Champion, while on Mlambo’s corner was his Straight Blast Gym Ireland teammate Conor “Notorious” McGregor, 30, a former UFC Lightweight Champion.

It was on November 17, 2017 when Loman became the inaugural Brave CF Bantamweight Champion. The Baguio City native was crowned His Highness Sheikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa at the Khalifa Sports City Arena in Isa Town, Bahrain.

On November 16, 2018, Loman will defend his Brave CF Bantamweight Champion belt for the second time. His challenger is Felipe Efrain, 24, of Sao Paulo, Brazil.

Loman and Efrain will headline “Brave 18,” which will take place at the Khalifa Sports City Arena. This is in time for the Brave International Combat Week 2018.

Including Loman, Team Lakay currently has four reigning world champions. The other three are ONE Interim Bantamweight World Champion Kevin “The Silencer” Belingon, 30, ONE Flyweight World Champion Geje “Gravity” Eustaquio, 28, and ONE Strawweight World Champion Joshua “The Passion” Pacio, 22.
