Former ONE Welterweight World Title challenger Luis “Sapo” Santos, 38, of Brazil recently proved that he still got it. He was one of the victors in the recently concluded ONE Championship event in Myanmar.

Santos was the only contender from Brazil at “ONE: Pursuit of Greatness,” which took place at the Thuwunna Indoor Stadium in Yangon, Myanmar on October 26, 2018. His fellow Brazilian mixed martial artist Rafael “Indio” Nunes, 30, was supposed to face Movlid “Killer” Khaibulaev, 28, of Russia in the co-main event of the evening the bout was cancelled when the Russian contender failed the pre-bout medical test.

In the fourth bout of “ONE: Pursuit of Greatness,” Santos competed in the welterweight division against Daichi Abe, 26, of Japan. The latter is a former UFC fighter who made his ONE Championship debut.

Santos remarkably placed himself back on the winning track, making quick work of the ONE Championship debutante. The Brazilian MMA veteran only needed 33 seconds to get the job done, pulverizing his Japanese opponent with thunderous body kicks to clinch the knockout win.
