Founded by Mark Sangiao, Team Lakay is among the top mixed martial arts teams in Asia and is known for the exemplary attitude of its fighters. One of the fighters of the MMA team based in Baguio City, Philippines is Brave Combat Federation athlete Jeremy “The Juggernaut” Pacatiw, 22, of Kapangan, Benguet, Philippines.
Recently, Team Lakay fighters highlighted their social commitment as they joined the relief efforts in Benguet, which was hit by Typhoon Ompong. Pacatiw stated, “In Team Lakay, we are taught discipline and respect.”
“Our coach Mark Sangiao trains us not just to be skilled MMA fighters but also to be responsible citizens who are valuable to the society,” the Kapangan native continued. “So our behavior inside and outside the cage is the message to young people and we represent the Philippines.”
Armed with the discipline and respect taught by Sangiao, Pacatiw earned the respect of Pakistani fight fans during his most recent Brave CF appearance. On October 27, 2018, the Brave CF athlete won his three-round bantamweight bout against Uloomi “Kratos” Karim, 27, of Islamabad, Pakistan in the co-main event of “Brave 17,” which took place at the Nistar Sports Complex in Lahore, Punjab, Pakistan.
Karim is representing Team Fight Fortress, which is based in Islamabad. He was with his coach Ali Sultan at “Brave 17.”
After being declared the winner via unanimous decision at “Brave 17,” Pacatiw showed respect to Karim inside the cage. The Team Lakay warrior thanked Karim, Sultan and the Pakistani fight fans.
His Excellency Daniel R. Espiritu, Ambassador of Philippines to Pakistan, greeted Pacatiw for his recent victory. The Team Lakay fighter is set to return to the Brave CF cage following his historic fight at “Brave 17.”
