China vs Brazil: Xie Chao, Bruno Pucci fight at ‘ONE: Warrior’s Dream’ in Indonesia

China and Brazil will be represented at the ONE Championship event “ONE: Warrior’s Dream,” which will take place on November 17, 2018 at the Stadium Istora in Jakarta, Indonesia. The fight card features three ONE Super Series striking contests and 11 mixed martial arts matches.

In the second bout of the evening, “White Dragon” Xie Chao, 26, of Qingzhou, Shandong, China will face Bruno “Puccibull” Pucci, 28, of Curitiba, Parana, Brazil. They will compete in the featherweight division.

Blue Corner

Xie was 20 years old when he started training in Jeet Kune Do, a famed martial arts discipline developed and founded by the legendary Bruce Lee. At the age of 24, the Qingzhou native began preparing to compete in MMA.

Showcasing burgeoning grappling skills, Xie won his very first professional bout via first-round armbar. He made sure to leave a lasting impression in his first ONE Championship appearance, which was at “ONE Championship Shanghai,” by submitting Marc “The Borneon Tiger” Marcellinus, 38, of Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, Malaysia via kimura armlock in just 90 seconds.

Red Corner

Pucci is a two-time Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu No Gi World Champion. He was 13 years old when he took his first BJJ lesson, and from then on, he would train every single day.

In 2009, Pucci reached the pinnacle of his grappling career when he won gold at the No Gi Grappling World Championship and defended his crown the very next year. He went on to earn a black belt in BJJ, and in 2011, he made his professional MMA debut.
