Japan and Poland were two of the seven countries represented at “UFC Fight Night 142.” The Ultimate Fighting Championship held the mixed martial arts event at the Adelaide Entertainment Centre in Adelaide, Australia on December 2, 2018.
“UFC Fight Night 142” featured 12 MMA bouts. In the fourth bout of the evening, Keita “K-Taro” Nakamura (中村圭太), 34, of Tokyo, Japan faced Salim “Grizzly” Touahri, 29, of Cracow, Poland.
Touahri, who is of Algerian descent, was born in Krakow on September 28, 1989. He is representing Grappling Krakow, where he started his Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu training in 2004.
“UFC Fight Night 142” marked Touahri’s second UFC bout. The Algerian-Polish fighter has been competing professionally since 2010.
Born in Katsushika-ku, Tokyo on May 22, 1984, Nakamura is a Senshu University alum. He is a former Sengoku Welterweight Champion, Shooto Pacific Rim Middleweight Champion and DEEP Welterweight Champion.
Nakamura has been competing professionally since 2003. “UFC Fight Night 142” marked the Japanese fighter’s 10 UFC bout.
Touahri and Nakamura competed in the welterweight division at “UFC Fight Night 142.” After three five-minute rounds, the contest was left in the hands of the judges.
In the end, the referee raised the hand of Nakamura, who was declared the winner via unanimous decision. This is the fourth victory of the Japanese fighter in the UFC.
Winning at “UFC Fight Night 142” improved Nakamura’s professional MMA record to 33 wins, 9 losses, 2 draws and 1 No Contest. On the other hand, Touahri now has 10 wins and 3 losses.

In the main event, Junior “Cigano” dos Santos, 34, of Cacador, Santa Catarina, Brazil will face Tai “Bam Bam” Tuivasa, 25, of Sydney, New South Wales, Australia in the heavyweight division.
