Sarabjit Singh vs Satya Behuria fight at ‘Brave 20: Hyderabad’

Including India, 11 countries were represented at “Brave 20: Hyderabad” at the Gachibowli Indoor Stadium in Hyderabad, India on December 22, 2018. It was the second event of Bahrain-based mixed martial arts promotion Brave Combat Federation to take place in India.

“Brave 20: Hyderabad” featured 10 MMA matches. The first bout of the evening was a battle between two promotional debutantes who are both fighting out of India namely Sarabjit Singh and Satya Behuria.

Blue Corner

It was on January 17, 2015 when Behuria made his MMA debut. He lost via unanimous decision to his countryman Ravi Jadav at “Yoddha Fighting Championship 3: Bangalore Tryouts.”

Behuria then faced two fellow Indian fighters at “Yoddha Fighting Championship” Season 1. After defeating Aditya Saha via unanimous decision on April 28, 2017, Behuria lost to Navdeep Agarwal also via unanimous decision on April 29, 2017.

Red Corner

Singh has been competing professionally since 2012. He was submitted by rear-naked choke by Rajesh “The Golden Boy” Sallan, 30, of England at “Super Fight League 5” on November 19, 2012.

After the unsuccessful professional MMA debut, Singh redeemed himself by defeating Atif Mohammed “Little Hawk” Khadim of Bahrain via unanimous decision at “Super Fight League 7” on November 2, 2012 and submitting Mohd Asgar of India via rear-naked choke at “SFL: Contenders 12” on July 12, 2013.

Fight Result

Singh and Behuria competed in the flyweight division at “Brave 20: Hyderabad.” The referee out a stop to the contest in the third round when the latter submitted the former via triangle choke.

By winning at “Brave 20: Hyderabad,” Behuria improved his professional MMA record to 1 win and 1 loss. On the other hand, Singh now has 2 wins and 2 losses.

“Brave 20: India” Main Events 

In the co-main event of the evening, John Brewin, 24, of Auckland, New Zealand faced Anas Siraj “The Moroccan Sensation” Mounir, 32, of Morocco in the lightweight division. After three five-minute rounds, the Moroccan fighter won via unanimous decision.

In the main event, Khamzat “Borz” Chimaev of Sweden and Sidney “The All-American Kid” Wheeler, 22, of Dalton, Georgia competed in the middleweight division. The Swedish fighter knocked out his American opponent in the first round.

Afghanistan, Brazil, England, Indonesia, Italy, Jordan, Morocco, New Zealand, Sweden and the United States were also represented at “Brave 20: Hyderabad.” Check the complete fight card on Conan Daily.
