ONE Championship held the “ONE: Clash of Legends” open workout on January 28, 2019 at the P.K. Saenchai Muay Thai Gym in Bangkok, Thailand. In attendance were the promotion’s Thai athletes namely Nong-O Gaiyanghadao, 32, Chamuaktong Fightermuaythai, 30, Shannon “OneShin” Wiratchai, 30, Rika “Tinydoll” Ishige, 29, Kongsak P.K.Saenchaimuaythaigym, 28, and Superlek Kiatmoo9, 23.
Featuring four Muay Thai bouts on the ONE Super Series card and eight mixed martial arts matches, “ONE: Clash of Legends” will take place at the Impact Arena in Bangkok, Thailand on February 16, 2019. A total of 13 countries will be represented namely Cambodia, China, France, Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, New Zealand, the Philippines, Russia, South Korea, Thailand, the United Kingdom and the United States.
In the main event of the evening, Nong-o will face Han Zi Hao, 23, of China. The winner will be the inaugural ONE Super Series Muay Thai Bantamweight World Champion.
“I am thankful that ONE Championship has given me this opportunity and getting the chance to do it in front of my Thai fans is amazing,” Nong-o stated during the “ONE: Clash of Legends” open workout. “ONE Championship is a global event so I am proud to represent Thailand and show the world the beautiful art of Muay Thai.”
Co-headlining “ONE: Clash of Legends” are Kongsak and Alaverdi “Dagger” Ramazanov, 24, of Russia. They will compete in a Muay Thai bout in the bantamweight division.
Both Kongsak and Superlek are making their ONE Championship debut at “ONE: Clash of Legends.” In the fifth bout of the evening, the latter will face Lao Chetra, 19, of Cambodia in a Muay Thai bout in the flyweight division.
Representing Thailand, “Smokin” Jo Nattawut, 29, is also on the “ONE: Clash of Legends” card. In the seventh bout of the evening, he will face Samy “AK47” Sana, 30, of France in a Muay Thai bout in the featherweight division.
