Brave Combat Federation is set to take the Philippines by storm with a “Brave 22: Storm of Warriors” fight card, which includes the third defense of local hero Stephen Loman’s bantamweight title. But before the historic event was made possible, the champion’s performance in his last fight was one of the reasons the promotion is heading to his home country.
The Filipino Ambassador for Bahrain, Alfonso Ver, was on sight to watch the activities from “Brave 18: Bahrain” where Loman defended his belt against Brazil’s Felipe Efrain. The ambassador was left greatly impressed with the structure of the show, his countryman’s performance and connection with Brave CF fans.
During the event, with the presence of His Highness Sheikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Brave CF’s visionary leader and patron, Ver put the wheels in motion for the promotion’s first visit to the Philippines by publicly asking for a Brave CF show in his homeland. Knowing that the Bahrain-based mixed martial arts promotion has a huge following in the country was a welcomed plus for the diplomat.
“Brave 22: Storm of Warriors” is scheduled on March 15, 2019 at the SM Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City, Metro Manila, Philippines. His Highness Sheikh Khalid will be in attendance for the historic day.
An enthusiast of the transforming power of sports in lives of the citizens, His Highness Sheikh Khalid has been an advocate for change through sport, with a number of initiatives taking place in the Kingdom of Bahrain. As he prepares to watch his vision turned into reality once more, he will be the first from a royal family to attend an event at the SM Mall of Asia Arena.
His Highness Sheikh Khalid will be in the Philippines to strengthen the relationship between the Philippines and Bahrain. He will make sure the sport of MMA continues its rapid development in the Philippines as Brave CF looks to give a global platform to local fighters for the first time.
Prior to the Philippines, Brave CF made its debut in various countries including Bahrain, Brazil, Mexico, Morocco, the United Arab Emirates, South Africa and Northern Ireland. Meanwhile, here is a clip featuring the reigning Brave CF Bantamweight Champion and his French challenger Elias Boudegzdame:
