Iraq vs Egypt: Hassan Talal, Mohammad Aly fight at ‘Brave 23: Pride and Honor’ in Jordan

Iraq and Egypt were among the 16 countries represented at “Brave 23: Pride and Honor” on April 19, 2019. It was the second Brave Combat Federation event to take place in Jordan.

Featuring 12 mixed martial arts matches, which included three title bouts, “Brave 23: Pride and Honor” took place at the Martyr Rashid Al-Ziyoud Hall Boxing Arena in Amman, Jordan. The first bout of the evening was between undefeated MMA fighters Hassan Talal of Iraq and Mohammad “MVP” Aly of Egypt.

Talal was one of the two fighters who represented Iraq at “Brave 23: Pride and Honor” while Aly was one of the two fighter who represented Egypt. Bahrain, Brazil, Canada, England, France, Jordan, Lebanon, Morocco, Russia, South Africa, Sweden, Tunisia, the United States and Wales were also represented.

Blue Corner

Aly made his successful professional MMA debut in 2015. He earned three wins in 2016 and two wins in 2017 and went on hiatus in 2018.

“Brave 23: Pride and Honor” marked Aly’s Brave CF debut. He is the former Arabic Ultimate Fighting Championship Lightweight Champion.

Red Corner

Talal made his successful professional MMA debut in 2016 and in the same year, he earned his second win. He went on hiatus from 2017 to 2018.

“Brave 23: Pride and Honor” marked Talal’s Brave CF debut. He previously competed in Desert Force MMA.

Fight Result

Talal and Aly competed in the featherweight division. The audience saw a lot of clinching and high kicks in the first round.

The referee put a stop to the featherweight contest in the second round. Talal knocked out Aly, marking the first professional MMA loss of the Egyptian contender.

Winning at “Brave 23: Pride and Honor” improved Talal’s professional MMA record to 3 wins and 0 loss. On the other hand, Aly now has 5 wins and 1 loss.

Luan “Miau” Santiago, 24, of Brazil challenged Brave CF Lightweight Champion Abdul-Kareem “Pride of Palestine” Al-Selwady, 23, in the first co-main event. [RESULT TO BE ADDED HERE]

Mounir “The Sniper” Lazzez, 31, of Tunisia and Eldar “Khan” Eldarov, 27, of Bahrain competed for the inaugural Brave CF Super Lightweight Championship title in the second co-main event. [RESULT TO BE ADDED HERE]

Abdoul “Sinistro” Abdouraguimov, 23, challenged reigning Brave CF Welterweight Champion Jarrah “The Jordanian Lion” Al-Selawe, 26, of Jordan in the main event. [RESULT TO BE ADDED HERE]
