[PHOTOS] Indonesia vs Cambodia: Rudy Agustian, Chan Rothana fight at ‘ONE: For Honor’ in Indonesia

Indonesia and Cambodia were among the 16 countries represented at “ONE: For Honor.” It was the second ONE Championship event in 2019 that took place in Indonesia.

Featuring 10 mixed martial arts matches and four ONE Super Series contests, which are four Muay Thai bouts, “ONE: For Honor” took place at the Istora Senayan in Jakarta, Indonesia on May 4, 2019. The fourth bout of the evening was between Rudy “The Golden Boy” Agustian, 33, of Indonesia and Chan Rothana, 33, of Cambodia.

Agustian was one of the seven hometown heroes who competed at “ONE: For Honor” while Rothana was one of the two fighters who represented Cambodia. Australia, China, England, India, Japan, Kyrgyzstan, Lithuania, Malaysia, Russia, Scotland, South Korea, Thailand, the United States and Vietnam were also represented.

Blue Corner

Rothana was 17 years old when he started his Kun Khmer training. Born in a refugee camp in Thailand during the Cambodian civil war, he is the son of a Khmer martial art Yutakhun Khom master.

Training out of Selapak and FFG, Rothana is a black belt in taekwondo. “ONE: For Honor” marked his eighth ONE Championship bout.

Red Corner

Agustian was in his early 20s when he started his Muay Thai training. After training extensively at the Sitmonchai Muay Thai Gym in Kanchanaburi, Thailand, he returned to his hometown in Tangerang, Indonesia and opened his own Muay Thai gym called Golden Camp.

“ONE: For Honor” marked Agustian’s 10th ONE Championship bout. He is training out of Golden Camp and Pitbull Academy.

Fight Results

Agustian and Rothana competed in an MMA match in the flyweight division. Kemp Cheng served as the referee.

Cheng put a stop to the flyweight contest after 2 minutes and 50 seconds in the second round. Rothana knocked out Agustian via ground and pound.

Winning at “ONE: For Honor” improved the professional MMA record of Rothana to 6 wins and 3 losses. On the other hand, Agustian now has 7 wins and 3 losses.

Jonathan “The General” Haggerty, 21, of Walworth, London, United Kingdom challenged reigning ONE Flyweight Muay Thai World Champion Sam-A Gaiyanghadao, 34, of Buriram, Thailand in the main event. [RESULT TO BE ADDED HERE]
