Indonesia was among the 16 countries represented at “ONE: For Honor.” It was the second ONE Championship event in 2019 that took place in the country.

Featuring 10 mixed martial arts matches and four ONE Super Series contests, which are four Muay Thai bouts, “ONE: For Honor” took place at the Istora Senayan in Jakarta, Indonesia on May 4, 2019. The sixth bout of the evening was between Indonesian MMA fighters Paul “The Great King” Lumihi, 31, and “The Terminator” Sunoto, 34.

Lumihi and Sunoto were among the seven hometown heroes who competed at “ONE: For Honor.” Australia, Cambodia, China, England, India, Japan, Kyrgyzstan, Lithuania, Malaysia, Russia, Scotland, South Korea, Thailand, the United States and Vietnam were also represented.

Blue Corner

Originally from East Java, Indonesia, Sunoto moved to Jakarta and is now training out of IndoGym and Team Phantom MMA. He has been competing professionally since 2013.

A World Karate Federation Indonesia Champion, Sunoto joined ONE Championship in 2015. “ONE: For Honor” marked his 14th bout in the promotion.

Red Corner

Originally from Manado, North Sulawesi, Indonesia, Lumihi currently lives in Jakarta. He attended SMA Negeri 2 Bitung in Bitung, Sulawesi Utara, Indonesia from 2003 to 2007.

As an MMA fighter, Lumihi has been competing professionally since 2015. He made his ONE Championship debut at “ONE: For Honor.”

Fight Results

Lumihi and Sunoto competed in an MMA match in the bantamweight division. Olivier Coste served as the referee.

After three five-minute rounds, the bantamweight bout was left in the hands of the judges. In the end, Coste raised the hand of Sunoto, who was declared the winner via unanimous decision.

Winning at “ONE: For Honor” improved the professional MMA record of Sunoto to 11 wins and 5 losses. On the other hand, Lumihi now has 7 wins and 2 losses.

Jonathan “The General” Haggerty, 21, of Walworth, London, United Kingdom challenged reigning ONE Flyweight Muay Thai World Champion Sam-A Gaiyanghadao, 34, of Buriram, Thailand in the main event. [RESULT TO BE ADDED HERE]
