Indonesia, Timor Leste and India were among the countries represented at the ONE Championship event titled “ONE: Masters of Destiny” on July 12, 2019. The fight card featured mixed martial arts matches as well as ONE Super Series contests including Muay Thai and kickboxing bouts.
ONE Championship held “ONE: Masters of Destiny” at the Axiata Arena in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. In the 12th bout of the evening, Abro “The Black Komodo” Fernandes, 29, of Indonesia and Timor Leste faced Gurdarshan “Saint Lion” Mangat, 32, of India.
Mangat is training out of is training out of Xtreme Couture and 10th Planet Las Vegas in Las Vegas, Nevada, United States. “ONE: Masters of Destiny” marked his second ONE Championship bout.
Fernandes is training out of IndoGym in Jakarta, Indonesia and Han Academy in Surakarta, Indonesia. “ONE: Masters of Destiny” marked his second ONE Championship bout.
Olivier Coste was the referee of the bout between Mangat and Fernandes, who competed in an MMA match in the flyweight division. It was the seventh MMA bout of the evening.
After three three-minute rounds, the flyweight bout was left in the hands of the judges. In the end, Coste raised the hand of Mangat, who was declared the winner via unanimous decision.
Winning at “ONE: Masters of Destiny” improved the professional MMA record of Mangat to 15 wins and 2 losses. He is training out Xtreme Couture and 10th Planet Las Vegas.

Including India, Indonesia and Timor Leste, 20 countries were represented at “ONE: Masters of Destiny.” The others were Australia, Brazil, China, Finland, Italy, Japan, Malaysia, Myanmar, New Zealand, the Philippines, Scotland, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan, Thailand, Vietnam and the United States.
Mangat solely represented India. Fernandes was the only representative of Timor Leste and one of the two representatives of Indonesia.
