[PHOTOS] Russia vs Serbia: Alaverdi Ramazanov, Ognjen Topic fight at ‘ONE: Dreams of Gold’ in Bangkok, Thailand

Russia, Serbia and the United States were represented at “ONE: Dreams of Gold.” ONE Championship held the combat sports event at the Impact Arena in Bangkok, Thailand on August 16, 2019.

Featured on the “ONE: Dreams of Gold” card were seven mixed martial arts fights and seven ONE Super Series contests, which were three kickboxing matches and four Muay Thai contests. The second bout of the evening was between Alaverdi “Dagger” Ramazanov, 23, of Russia and Ognjen Topic, 33, of Serbia and the United States

Including Russia, Serbia and the U.S., 19 countries were represented at “ONE: Dreams of Gold.” The others were Brazil, Cambodia, China, Cuba, Cyprus, France, India, Italy, Indonesia, Japan, the Netherlands, the Philippines, South Korea, Thailand, Vietnam and the United Kingdom.

Ramazanov was one of the three fighters who represented Russia. Topic solely represented Serbia and was one of the two representatives of the U.S.

Ramazanov was born in Bosnia and Herzegovina on February 1, 1986. He was 6 years old when he and his family moved to Serbia because of the Bosnian War and when he was 9 years old, they moved to the U.S.

“ONE: Dreams of Gold” marked Topic’s fourth ONE Super Series bout. He is training out of North Jersey Muay Thai in New Jersey, USA and P.K.Saenchaimuaythaigym in Bangkok.

Red Corner

Hailing from Dagestan, Russia, Ramazanov grew up swimming competitively. He was 13 years old when he switched to Muay Thai.

“ONE: Dreams of Gold” marked Ramazanov’s fifth ONE Super Series bout.  He is training out of Venum Training Camp Thailand in Pattaya, Thailand.


Ramazanov and Topic competed in an Muay Thai match in the bantamweight division. Atsushi Onari served as the referee.

Onari put a stop to the bantamweight contest after 2 minutes and 25 seconds in the first round. Ramazanov knocked out Topic.

Winning at “ONE: Dreams of Gold” improved the professional Muay Thai record of Ramazanov to 60 wins and 5 losses. On the other hand, Topic now has 34 wins, 23 losses and 2 draws.
