[PHOTOS] Thailand vs India: Stamp Fairtex, Asha Roka fight at ‘ONE: Dreams of Gold’ in Bangkok

Thailand and India were represented at “ONE: Dreams of Gold.” ONE Championship held the combat sports event at the Impact Arena in Bangkok, Thailand on August 16, 2019.

Featured on the “ONE: Dreams of Gold” card were seven mixed martial arts fights and seven ONE Super Series contests, which were three kickboxing matches and four Muay Thai contests. The 12th bout of the evening was between reigning ONE Atomweight Kickboxing and Muay Thai World Champion Stamp Fairtex, 21, of Thailand and Asha “Knockout Queen” Roka, 20, of India.

Including India and Thailand, 19 countries were represented at “ONE: Dreams of Gold.” The others were Brazil, Cambodia, China, Cuba, Cyprus, France, Indonesia, Italy, Japan, the Netherlands, the Philippines, Russia, Serbia, South Korea, Vietnam, the United Kingdom and the United States.

Stamp was one of the six fighters who represented Thailand. Training out of Positron, Roka solely represented India.

Blue Corner

Born in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh, India on October 4, 1998, Roka has been competing professionally since 2017. She made her ONE Championship debut at “ONE: Dreams of Gold.”

Before joining ONE Championship, Roka competed in Super Fight League. She is training out of Positron in Delhi, India.

Red Corner

Born Nadthawon Panthong in Rayong, Thailand on September 27, 1991, Stamp was only 5 years old when she had her first Muay Thai match. She was the first female Thai athlete to be sponsored by Fairtex Training Center in Pattaya, Thailand.

“ONE: Dreams of Gold” marked Stamp’s fourth ONE Championship bout and first MMA bout in the promotion. She is the promotion’s first ever two-sport champion.


Stamp and Roka competed in an MMA bout in the women’s atomweight division. Olivier Coste served as the referee.

Coste put a stop to the atomweight contest after 1 minute and 29 seconds in the third round. Stamp locked in a rear naked choke and forced Roka to tap out.

Winning at “ONE: Dreams of Gold” improved the professional MMA record of Stamp to 2 wins and 0 loss. On the other hand, Roka now has 4 wins and 1 loss.
